Bouley Bay added to bus service after complaints
Bouley Bay has been added to Jersey bus routes this summer after complaints it was excluded from the service.
Local business owners criticised the summer timetable, which did not include stops at the northern bay.
They said their livelihoods relied on tourism and the bus service.
The timetable has now been revised and, subject to approval, will now include at least six daily visits to Bouley Bay.
Debbie Flynn, who runs the Waters Edge hotel in Bouley Bay, said: "We are struggling to make a success of the hotel so I think it [no bus service] would just make life even harder.
"It is not an easy industry to be in at the moment and we do not want tourism to die in the island and we do not want the buses to move away from supporting tourism."
Constable Mike Jackson, the minister with responsibility for transport, said: "We have heard the concerns of the residents and businesses in Bouley Bay and we are looking to try and provide a service down there and I hope that that will satisfy the needs of the tourists.
"Last season the usage was not great and this is what led to the decision to reduce the services.
"Having said that the businesses are very keen to have the service running and I can fully understand that from a business point of view so in turn I would urge them to encourage their clients to use the bus."
