Jersey church to be ready for new lieutenant governor
A renovation project at a church in Jersey should be complete in time for a service welcoming the new lieutenant governor, the island's dean says.
The latest phase of the Town Church's make-over has seen an under-floor heating system installed.
The church's 140-year-old pews were also being replaced by chairs, the Very Reverend Bob Key, said.
The service for Sir John McColl is due in September 2011 when he takes over from Lieutenant-General Andrew Ridgway.
The lieutenant governor is the personal representative of The Queen in Jersey.
