Fall in number of young jobless in Jersey
The number of unemployed young people in Jersey has fallen, according to the Department for Social Security.
The employment figures for September show that 1,230 people in the island were unemployed, 60 lower than in August.
More than 80% of the reduction was in the 18 to 24-year-old age group but teenagers (aged 16 to 19) still account for a quarter of job seekers.
Unemployment has risen by 320 compared to September 2009.
