Jersey tower block energy use halved
The refurbishment of a block of social housing flats in Jersey has cut its energy usage in half, the States said.
The Cedars, on Green Street, has been given the island's Electricity Sustainability Award.
The 38-year-old tower block has been brought in line with modern building standards.
Changes at the building, which is home to 74 families, include new windows and high insulation roofs. The lifts were replaced and heating revamped.
