Jersey senator presses for deeper spending cut
A Jersey politician has called for tougher spending cuts to save 拢14m over the next two years.
Senator Ben Shenton says existing measures do not go far enough and he wants States members' pay frozen and a reduction in the tourism budget.
He also wants overseas aid at the same level as 2010 and a 拢2m reduction in the the budget for income support.
He warned that if his amendments were not agreed, future generations would face a huge financial burden.
