Guernsey Airport consultation extended by two weeks
The deadline for islanders to have their say on Guernsey's airport runway plans has been extended by two weeks.
Normally, the public are given 21 days to scrutinise any plans submitted to the Environment Department and make known any objections they have.
However, a spokesperson for the department said it wanted to ensure the public had the maximum opportunity to comment on the 拢80m project.
It involves the resurfacing of the runway and surrounding taxi-ways.
New lighting and drainage will also be installed.
The results of an environmental impact assessment looking at traffic, light and noise can also be viewed at Frossard House in St Peter Port.
The consultation period on the proposals was originally scheduled to end on Friday but will now continue until 9 September.
