Auschwitz: 70 years since concentration camps liberated
Seventy years ago, the concentration camps of Auschwitz in German-occupied Poland were liberated from Nazi control.
More than one million people, mostly Jews, were murdered between 1940 and 1945, making it the site of the largest mass execution of human beings ever recorded.
