Your pictures: Movement

Every week we publish a gallery of readers' pictures on a set theme. This week the theme was movement and we start with a photograph taken by Kate Swanson of her dog drying off on the banks of Loch Doon, Scotland.

Sally Nixon: "I took this picture while speeding down a hill towards the beach in California on a old borrowed bike. I love to kick my legs out and feel the wind on my face while riding."

Priesh Shah: "A photo taken of the Millennium Wheel at night, London."

Matthew Higgins: "Resident cat Rufus watches his flying mate Tiger making the leap of faith from the garage rooftop."

Joanne Fryer: "A turtle swimming towards some food."

Ruth Cuerden: "This image was taken last year in the Lake District. I wanted to get a picture of the stars moving over our tent. Instead, by accident, the movement of my sister and her torch highlighted the steep hill we had to walk down in near pitch black often resulting in a tumble as you can see she did halfway down!"

Anna Goodchild: "A Bodmin first ladies team defender had to jump high to avoid being hit by a ball from Torbay ladies first hockey team striker."

Will Blackmore: "This photo was taken during the annual Weston-super-Mare beach race. A little after hundreds of bikes flew by at the beginning, these stragglers were trying to catch up - their spray got me a little sandy!"

Laura Clarke: "With this shot I wanted to capture the intensity and energy of the city of Bangkok from a tuk-tuk by using the movement and lighting of the tuk-tuk. the other traffic and the surroundings."
