CBMRT team leader Penny Brockman said it was the eighth callout for the volunteers since last Saturday with two incidents around the area's waterfalls.

She said it had been busy this summer due to more people visiting the area on staycations.

She explained that walkers had been injured in trips and falls and others were led to safety after getting lost.

"Luckily, people have not been critically injured," she said.
