The second day of The Passion starring Michael Sheen in his home town of Port Talbot began by an underpass

Nigel Barrett returns as the mysterious stranger who baptised Sheen's Christ-like figure on day one

Sheen's character is soon identified as a leader of his people

Di Botcher is another familiar face to Welsh audiences taking part in the performance

John McGrath, artistic director of National Theatre Wales, said the response from the people of Port Talbot had exceeded all their expectations

"The whole town understood it and got the bug ... they've found the town on all the nation's front pages," he said
