Window fall man who sparked Yousaf's brother-in-law arrest dies
A man who fell from a window in Dundee, prompting a police investigation into Humza Yousaf's brother-in-law and two others, has died in hospital.
Police said the man was seriously injured in the fall in Morgan Street on 10 January and died on Wednesday.
Ramsay El-Nakla, Stephen Stewart and Victoria McGowan were arrested in connection with the incident on Monday.
Mr El-Nakla, who is the brother of Mr Yousaf's wife Nadia, and the others were subsequently released.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 08:20 on 10 January we received a report a man had fallen from a block of flats in the Morgan Street area of Dundee.
"A 36-year-old man was taken to Ninewells Hospital for treatment to serious injuries, where he died on 17 January."
Officers said the death was being treated as unexplained and an investigation to establish the full circumstances was continuing.
The spokesperson added: "Two men, aged 50 and 36, and a 41-year-old woman were arrested on 15 January in connection with the incident and later released pending further enquiries."
The trio had appeared in court on Monday accused of being concerned in the supply of heroin at an address in Dundee's Balmoral Gardens on 11 January.
They are also accused of possessing cocaine and cannabis on the same date.
They made no plea at hearings in private before Sheriff George Way and were granted bail.
