Man charged in connection with fatal crash in Orkney

A 27-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with a fatal crash in Orkney last year.

Car passenger Whilma Hutchison, 82, from Finstown, died in hospital in Aberdeen following the collision on Saturday 15 October 2022.

The crash happened on the A965 at Cursiter, near Finstown, and involved a Land Rover Discovery and a VW Golf.

The man is expected to appear at Kirkwall Sheriff Court at a later date.
