Detectives investigate unexplained death of baby in St Andrews
The death of a baby boy at a property in St Andrews is being treated as "unexplained".
Police Scotland said the six-month-old was found unresponsive at an address in Lamond Drive in the Fife town.
Officers were called to the scene after the alarm was raised at about 04:50 on Sunday.
A force spokeswoman said the baby was taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee but was pronounced dead a short time later.
She added: "The death is being treated as unexplained and inquiries are ongoing."
