Carrickfergus: Man arrested after armed robbery
A man has been arrested after an armed robbery in Carrickfergus, police have said.
Two masked men, one armed with a suspected firearm and one with a knife, entered a commercial premises in Prince Andrew Way, at about 23:10 BST on Friday.
They threatened staff and patrons before making off with a sum of money.
Police later stopped a white Hyundai car and arrested a 30-year-old man. He remains in custody.
He is being held on suspicion of robbery and possession of an offensive weapon.
The man armed with the suspected firearm was wearing a light-coloured tracksuit, white puffa-style jacket, black trainers, black balaclava and gloves.
The man carrying the knife was wearing a black tracksuit with a white and black balaclava and black gloves.
Police have appealed for information.
