Belfast: Three men arrested over attempted kidnapping
Three men have been arrested on suspicion of attempted kidnapping following an incident in Belfast on Tuesday.
Officers on patrol in the city centre witnessed an altercation on Bruce Street shortly after midday.
It was reported that a man in his 20s was forced out of a stationary van by three other men, one of whom was armed with a knife.
The victim was then threatened and told to to get back into the vehicle.
He was taken to hospital to receive treatment for a head injury which is not believed to be life-threatening.
The men, aged in their 20s and late teens, are being held on suspicion of a number of offences including attempted kidnapping and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
Police have appealed for witnesses or anyone who may dashcam or CCTV footage of the incident to contact them.
