Ballymena: Two police officers injured in crash
Two police officers were taken to hospital after a car crashed into their patrol vehicle outside Ballymena.
The crash happened on the Crankill Road at about 22:20 GMT when police were responding to a report that a man was driving under the influence of alcohol.
The officers were taken to hospital, with one treated for injuries to his back and neck and another officer for cuts to her eye.
A 38-year-old man was arrested following the crash.
He was arrested on suspicion of a number of offences including driving with excess alcohol and driving with no insurance.
The man was later released on police bail to allow for further enquiries.
Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
