East Belfast: Workers' hands bound with cable ties in robbery
Two shop workers have been left badly shaken after their hands were bound by cable ties during a robbery in east Belfast, police have said.
It happened at a Spar store on Ballygowan Road at 06:15 GMT on Wednesday.
Officers said two men with their faced covered entered the shop and forced the staff to sit at the back of the shop.
They filled bags with a "large quantity of cigarettes and a sum of cash" before making off, Det Sgt McCartan added.
"One of the men was described as wearing a high visibility jacket with a light coloured hoodie," they continued. "The second man was described as wearing a dark coloured hoodie and a dark coloured hat.
"While the staff members were not injured, they have been left badly shaken following the incident."
