Antrim: 'Nothing untoward' as security alert ends
Police have declared that there was "nothing untoward" after a security alert in Antrim.
They responded to a report of a suspicious object in the Barra Street area shortly after 14:00 GMT on Saturday.
A number of houses were evacuated but those residents affected have since been able to return to their homes.
Police said the object was found to be "nothing untoward" and it has been taken away for further examination.
A spokesperson added: "I want to thank the local community, in particular those who were directly affected, for their cooperation and assistance."
