East Belfast: Man stabbed in the back on Belmont Road
An investigation has been launched after a man was stabbed on the Belmont Road in east Belfast.
The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) said the victim was approached by an unknown man just before 17.30 GMT on Sunday and was then stabbed once in the back.
He is being treated in hospital for his injuries, which police said were not believed to be life threatening.
Detectives have asked anyone with information to get in touch.
