Armagh farm: Woman dies after being struck by cow
A 67-year-old woman has died in an accident involving a cow on a farm in County Armagh. It is understood Thelma Gorman was leading a cow when the incident happened.
It happened in the Drumhirk area, a number of miles outside Armagh city on Friday.
The Northern Ireland Air ambulance was called to the incident.
Police and the Health and Safety Executive are investigating the circumstances.
DUP MLA William Irwin said he knew the woman and her family and was shocked to hear about the accident.
He told the 91热爆: "It is a very difficult time. I was speaking to the family earlier on and they are in a state of shock. Her husband is traumatised.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time".
On , tributes have been paid to its "long standing and highly esteemed committee member".
The club described her as an "inspiration to other breeders."
"Mrs Gorman has been the only lady chairperson in the club's history, having held the office in two occasions, 1997 and 2007," it said.
