Barnsley: Cyclist, 46, suffers 'life-threatening injuries'
A cyclist has suffered life-threatening injuries during a crash in South Yorkshire.
The 46-year-old man was found lying on the pavement on Barnsley Road, Barnsley, next to his bicycle at about 04:25 GMT on Saturday.
He was taken to hospital with "serious, life-threatening injuries", officers said.
South Yorkshire Police said it was investigating what caused him to fall from his bike.
It appealed for witnesses, dashcam footage or anyone with information to get in contact via 101.
