M40 lorry crash: Driver killed when vehicle hits motorway bridge
A lorry driver has died when his vehicle hit a central reservation and bridge support on a motorway.
The crash, involving a Volvo lorry, happened at about 12:40 BST on the M40 between junction 8A and Oxford Services.
The driver in his 50s died at the scene. Thames Valley Police said his next of kin had been informed and were being supported by specially-trained officers.
No other vehicles were involved.
PC Steve Lane, of the joint operations roads policing unit, said: "My thoughts remain with the family of the man who died following the collision.
"We are carrying out an investigation into the collision, and asking any witnesses or anyone with dash-cam footage of the incident to please come forward."
