Former Cromer Crab Company workers given job advice
Former crab factory workers are being given training to help find new jobs.
North Norfolk District Council has given 拢25,000 to pay for the skill sessions for 41 people who used to work at the Cromer Crab Company.
The firm announced in December that it wanted to shed 70 jobs from its 200-strong workforce.
North Norfolk MP Norman Lamb said he would talk to the council about any help from other sources.
Council cabinet member Trevor Ivory said: "Our first priority is to secure the long-term future of the Cromer Crab factory and to support those workers affected.
"With a number of redundancies now unavoidable, we are determined to help those affected back into work as quickly as possible."
