Uxbridge man, 18, charged with John Cavanagh's murder
An 18-year-old man has been charged with murder after another man was assaulted in west London.
John Cavanagh, 44, died in hospital from a head injury after being attacked in Dawley Avenue, Uxbridge, on 4 March, the Met Police said.
Jimmy McDonagh, from Uxbridge, was detained in Derbyshire and has been charged with his murder.
He appeared before Uxbridge Magistrates' Court on Saturday and was remanded in custody.
Mr McDonagh is due before the Old Bailey on Tuesday.
Detectives received reports of an assault in Dawley Avenue on 4 March at about 20:10 GMT.
Mr Cavanagh was taken to hospital but died later.
Police said a post-mortem examination revealed the cause of death was the result of a head injury.
The force has urged anyone with information about the incident to get in touch.
