Sidney Palmer death: Man pleads guilty to manslaughter

A man has admitted manslaughter but denies murder after a city centre stabbing.

Sidney Palmer, 59, died after he suffered a fatal knife wound to the chest in Conduit Street, Leicester, on 30 September last year.

Nathan Pritchard is on trial at Leicester Crown Court, where the jury were told on Wednesday he had admitted Mr Palmer's manslaughter.

The 30-year-old, of no fixed address, denies murder.

Co-accused Victor-Eduard Raja, 25, of Columbine Road, Leicester, also denies murder and a charge of possessing a knife in a public place.

Michael Boleyn, 32, of Fieldfare Walk, Syston, and Leon Newton, 35, of no fixed address, have denied manslaughter charges.

The trial continues.
