West Yorkshire Police make 1,000 arrests in wanted people blitz
West Yorkshire Police has arrested more than 1,000 people in a campaign to detain people wanted by the force.
Officers targeted wanted criminals for a number of offences in a crackdown funded by proceeds of crime.
They made 1,072 arrests in December, with 222 people charged, 25 given cautions or community resolutions, and others interviewed and released.
ACC Pat Twiggs said: "All of the teams across the five districts have achieved some incredible results."
He added: "We are hoping to conduct another phase of this operation in the new year, as we are dedicated to tracking down those who break the law and try to avoid justice."
