Brierfield crash arrests as man knocked down in Colne Road dies
Two people have been arrested after a pedestrian was knocked down near to a bus stop on Sunday.
Lancashire Police said a BMW M5 hit the man and then crashed into a wall in Colne Road, Brierfield, at 20:30 BST.
The force said the man, in his 50s, had been pronounced dead at the scene.
A 28-year-old man from Brierfield and a 40-year-old man from Manchester have been arrested. Police have appealed for any dashcam, CCTV, doorbell or mobile phone footage of the crash.
Sgt Michael Higginson said: "This collision has resulted in a man losing his life and my thoughts are very much with his loved ones at this difficult time."
