Goole arrest after man suffers fractured skull in street attack
A man has been arrested after a 20-year-old man suffered a skull fracture during an attack in Goole, police said.
Officers were called to an altercation in Aire Street at about 02.50 GMT on New Year's Day.
The victim was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening, Humberside Police said.
A 28-year-old man was arrested nearby on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and remains in custody.
Police appealed for witnesses and CCTV footage of the incident.
