Worcestershire County Cricket Club ground flooded
Worcestershire County Cricket Club ground has been flooded and one flood alert remains in place after heavy rain.
The ground at New Road has been covered in up to 18in of water, according to the club's chief executive.
David Leatherdale said: "We found it was coming across the fields on Sunday night after nothing in the afternoon."
The Environment Agency has issued a flood alert for the River Severn and lifted a warning for the River Teme.
Mr Leatherdale said: "The river has dropped overnight and the forecast seems to be better so hopefully it will continue to go down.
"We had a couple of small functions due to take place in the marquee which have been moved or postponed.
"Fortunately, it's nearly a fortnight until we next play a match [at New Road] so it won't affect us too much."
The A456 at Newnham Bridge at Tenbury has reopened after being closed due to floodwater.
