Pilot killed in glider crash on Cheltenham school field
One man was killed and another injured when a glider crashed on school playing fields in Gloucestershire.
Cotswold Gliding Club said "one of the pilots received fatal injuries" in the crash at St Edward's prep school in Cheltenham at about 13:20 BST.
The other pilot in the club's two-seater glider "suffered minor injuries" and was taken to a local hospital.
The Air Accidents Investigation Branch has sent a team of investigators to the scene in Charlton Kings.
The gliding club said it had no further information about the injured man but added "our thoughts are with the pilots' families".
