A man in his 70s was headbutted by a teenager in a Derbyshire village, say police.
A group of young people on bikes rode past the man at around 14:00 BST on Saturday as he walked along Clowne Branch Line Greenway, off Barton Street in Clowne.
The man asked them to stop, but one of the youths approached him and headbutted him.
The victim suffered a black eye and cut eyebrow, and his glasses were broken.
Derbyshire Police are asking for anyone who might recognise a description of the attacker to come forward.
He was a slim white boy in his early teens, with short blonde hair and wearing a blue t-shirt and jeans.
The rest of the group are also believed to be aged 13 to 14, and one of the mountain bikes they were riding was red, police added.
