Wellesbourne: Man carried on car roof during hit-and-run

Three people have been arrested after a man was hit by a car and carried on its roof for 450m (1,476ft).
A white Volkswagen Golf was thought to have overtaken another vehicle on Bridge Street in Wellesbourne, Warwickshire, when it struck the pedestrian on Thursday, police said.
The man, in his 20s, fell from the car near a shop.
He remains in hospital with serious injuries. Neither car stopped at the scene, said police.
Two men and a woman were arrested on Friday, the Warwickshire force added.
A 34-year-old man from Leamington Spa was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
A 60-year-old woman from Leamington Spa and a 37-year-old man from Warwick were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
The woman was also arrested on suspicion of obstructing a police officer.
All three had since been released on bail pending further investigation, the force said.
