Lower Than Atlantis opened the In New Music We Trust tent on the second day of Radio 1's Big Weekend.

After their set, LTA revealed they were heading straight off to play another festival.

As they packed up, they had a few words with Newsbeat.

We asked lead singer Mike Duce and bassist Dec Hart whether they had spotted any famous faces while hanging around the artists' bar, before their performance.

"I think it was all too early for famous face spotting," said Mike.

"We've seen George Ezra, we have kind of mutual friends. But it was too early for anyone to kind of go, 'You alright mate, you know this person' so we just walked past and went, 'Hello' and then walked off."

Bassist Dec Hart said: "See if we had stayed, we could have had a couple of beers and become best mates with Taylor Swift and Dave Grohl, everyone.

"Oh no, but Mike's already made best friends with Dave Grohl. It didn't go down too well."

Mike then had to admit what happened.

"I met Dave Grohl in Australia a few weeks ago when we were on tour," he said.

"I, grabbed hold of his arm. Well, basically... this is so embarrassing. He basically got out of a cab, and I was like, 'Oh my God you're Dave Grohl' and I grabbed hold of his arm.

"And I completely forgot I had hold of his arm and I was chatting to him for probably about three minutes. And he just kept looking at me and I went, 'Oh mate, I'm so sorry' and let go of him.

"And then someone introduced him to me later on in the night in this bar. And he went, 'Yeah I know it's the weirdo from outside' and I was like 'nnnnooooooooooo'.

"I am so embarrassed. Can no-one mention that to me, I'm about to be sick.

"But at least he remembers me. Or remembered me."
