Maroon 5 have postponed their UK arena tour

Maroon 5 have been forced to postpone their UK arena tour this summer because of "unforeseen scheduling conflicts".

The band were due to kick off in Birmingham on 22 June and finish in Glasgow on 27 June.

The six dates, including two shows at London's O2 Arena, have all been moved to January 2014.

In a statement on the Los Angeles band's website, it said tickets already purchased would be valid for the new dates.

If fans want a refund instead, they should contact the place they bought their tickets from before 30 June.

"We are truly sorry for any inconvenience we have caused our European fans," frontman Adam Levine wrote on their website.

"When we come over in January we will put on a show to remember."

The venue for the Glasgow gig has also been changed from the Braehead to The Hydro Arena which opens in September 2013.
