Kanye West won't do degree at St Martins, college says

Kanye West will not be doing a degree in fashion at a London art college, the college has confirmed.

St Martins College released a statement to say that a visit by the star last week was for "unrelated matters".

The rumours began when West met the head of the college's fashion course, whose past students include the late designer Alexander McQueen.

"Kanye West has not applied for a place on MA Fashion at Central Saint Martins College," the statement said.

The college also confirmed that the rapper hadn't made a donation and would not expand on why he was visiting.

Kanye West is thought to be working on a joint album with rapper Jay-Z.

There is no word yet on when it will be released.
