Britney Spears reveals Femme Fatale details on Twitter
Britney Spears has held a Q&A with fans on Twitter about her forthcoming album Femme Fatale.
The US pop star told fans the new record would be "moody, edgy pop".
She said she co-wrote "a couple of songs" and called the album "some of the best work I've ever done," adding "I'm so excited for you guys to hear it".
The singer added she'd enjoyed working with longtime collaborator Max Martin and US hitmaker Dr Luke.
"I have a lot of history with Max Martin and Dr Luke so it's always fun to collaborate with them. They make such incredible music," she said.
'Thank you'
Swedish producer Martin is the man behind classic Britney tracks like Hit Me Baby One More Time and Oops! I Did It Again - and Dr Luke worked on Spears' Circus album.
Femme Fatale will be the Carolina singer's seventh studio album, and is set to feature a collaboration with Black Eyed Peas singer will.i.am.
And as well as fielding questions about the new record, Spears also told fans she would like to get back into acting.
"I love to act and would love to be in a Todd Philips [The Hangover] or Judd Apatow [Anchorman] movie," she said.
She wrapped up the chat by telling fans: "I really love you guys and can't thank you enough for the support throughout my entire career."
Femme Fatale is released on 29 March
