Pixie Lott will join Rihanna on her UK tour in May

Pixie Lott is to support Rihanna on the Barbadian singer's forthcoming UK arena tour.

The Mama Do singer will take to the stage first at the string of shows which begin in Birmingham on 7 May.

Earlier this week Pixie Lott walked away empty handed at this week's Brits where she was nominated for best British female solo artist, British single and British breakthrough act.

Rihanna released her latest album Rated R in November.
