Motorcyclist dies in crash near Rochester

A motorcyclist has died in a crash near Rochester.

The collision happened on the B2097 Rochester Road near the Laker Road junction at about 1715 GMT on Wednesday.

It involved a black Yamaha motorbike, which was travelling towards Blue Bell Hill, and a blue Ford Fiesta, which was heading in the opposite direction.

Kent Police said the victim, who was in his 20s and from Aylesford, was declared dead at the scene. His next of kin has been informed.

Officers are appealing for any witnesses or anyone who may have dashcam footage to come forward.
