A police officer who crashed a marked car has been sacked after falsely claiming she had swerved to avoid a deer.
PC Holly Moore was driving the police car between Watton to Attleborough in Norfolk when the accident happened in July 2023.
A conduct hearing was told she crashed her car when she turned left onto the A11 slip road whilst "travelling too quickly for the manoeuvre".
She was dismissed after falsely claiming she had swerved to avoid a deer.
The car, the conduct panel was told, suffered "relatively substantial damage".
No other vehicle was involved.
The conduct panel, which met over three days in February, upheld the allegations that her actions were dishonest and amounted to discreditable conduct.
