Arrest after bus driver threatened with needle
A man has been arrested over an incident in which a bus driver was robbed after being threatened with a needle.
Thames Valley Police said a man boarded the bus at Barns Road in Cowley, Oxford, at about 23:15 BST on Saturday.
He took a quantity of cash from the till and made off down a path next to Templars Bar after the driver triggered an alarm.
Detectives said the 30-year-old suspect from Berinsfield remains in custody.
Police have renewed an appeal for sightings of the offender, who cycled down Barns Road before boarding the bus.
He is described as a white man, aged in his 30s, about 6ft (1.83m) tall and wearing a blue North Face jacket with the hood up.
Det Con Tim Salter said: "This was a concerning incident but we are carrying out a thorough investigation.
鈥淎s such, we are asking anyone with information to please come forward, particularly anyone who may have CCTV or dashcam footage.
鈥淢embers of the public will see an increased police presence while we continue our inquiries."
