Man pushed down stairs in 'cowardly attack'

A man has been pushed down a flight of stairs and left seriously injured in what police described as a 鈥渃owardly attack鈥.

The 52-year-old suffered life-changing injuries in the assault at a property on the Causeway in Altrincham at about 02:10 BST, Greater Manchester Police said.

He was taken to hospital, the force added.

No arrests have been made and officers have appealed for anyone with information or footage from the time of the incident to come forward.
