Man seriously injured in suspected hammer attack
A man has been left with serious injuries from what is thought to be a hammer attack.
Bedfordshire Police said it was called to Telford Way, Luton, at about 11:30 on Monday to reports of two men fighting.
The force said the victim, who was left with serious but non-life threatening injuries, was chased by three people, punched by a woman and then hit with what is believed to be a hammer.
Police said: 鈥淭his was a malicious attack that could have resulted in the end of an individual's life."
The force added: "Telford Way is a particularly busy area of the town, and we are hopeful that people who used the route yesterday may have details to inform our investigation."
Witnesses or people with information have been asked to contact them on 101.
