Man seriously hurt after town centre stabbing
A man in his 30s was taken to hospital with serious injuries after a town centre stabbing.
Bedfordshire Police said it was called at 02:25 BST to Downs Road in Luton to reports that a man had been hurt.
He remained in a stable condition, the force added.
The road was closed for several hours but has since reopened.
Det Insp Kim Caddy said: "We understand this will have caused some concern in the community, but I would like to reassure the public that we are doing all we can to investigate the circumstances around this incident."
She appealed for anyone with information, or who has any doorbell footage, to get it touch.
