A pedestrian has been seriously injured after he was struck by a double-decker bus.

The man, aged in his 50s, was hit on Deepdale Road in Preston, close to the bus depot, shortly before 18:00 GMT on Tuesday, Lancashire Police said.

The force said he suffered "very significant injuries".

Officers are appealing for anyone who saw the incident or who has any CCTV, dashcam or video doorbell footage to get in touch.
