Man's body found on M1 after suspected hit and run
A man has died after a suspected hit-and-run on a motorway which was then closed for several hours on Monday.
The man's body was found by Hertfordshire Police close to the hard shoulder of the northbound carriageway between junctions four and five, for Watford and Radlett, at about 14:30 GMT.
Officers believe the man was struck by a vehicle, which left the scene, sometime between 04:30 on Sunday and the body being discovered on Monday.
The motorway was closed until about 20:30 on Monday for investigation work.
