Appeal over death of driver whose car left road
The death of a driver whose car left a road has prompted an appeal from police.
Nottinghamshire Police said officers were called to the A610 at Eastwood, close to the junction with Farrington Way, in the early hours of Sunday.
The driver - a 58-year-old man who was the sole occupant of the vehicle - was pronounced dead at the scene.
His next of kin has been informed and police are appealing for witnesses.
Police said officers were "particularly keen" to trace a pedestrian seen on CCTV in the area at the time.
It is not thought they were involved but "may be able to assist the investigation".
The force added it was snowing at the time of the crash, but there was "no evidence" to suggest that was a factor in the man's death.
