Teenage boy dies after being hit by car
A teenage boy has died after being hit by a car.
Paramedics were called to Ash Grove in Lichfield at about 18:30 BST on Friday, Staffordshire Police said.
The boy, who was a pedestrian, suffered serious injuries in the collision with a Nissan Qashqai and died a short time later, a force spokesperson said.
"The driver of the Nissan stayed at the scene and is helping us with our inquiries," the force added. Officers have appealed for witnesses and for anyone who has CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage of the area at the time.
Specially-training officers are supporting the boy's family. A small cordon is in place in the area as investigations continue.
