Driver airlifted to hospital after crash with tree
A man in his 50s has been airlifted to hospital after his car collided with a tree.
Hertfordshire Police said the crash took place at about 09:45 GMT on Wednesday in Stevenage.
Officers had been called to the A602 Hooks Cross, near to The Three Horseshoes pub, after reports that a grey Kia Picanto had collided with a tree.
The driver was airlifted to hospital with injuries described as life threatening.
Police officers have asked witnesses or those with information to contact them.
