Cannabis plants thought to be worth more than 拢200,000 have been seized from a disused building in Leicestershire.

Leicestershire Police discovered the plants at the building in Station Road, Glenfield, on Monday.

Police said the National Grid attended the location, which is next to a petrol station, to isolate the power to the unit, as the "risk of fire from the dodgy electrics were a potential recipe for disaster".

The 19-year-old has since been charged with cultivating and producing cannabis alongside the 29-year-old, who was also charged with producing cannabis.

The pair appeared at Leicester Magistrates' Court on Tuesday and will next appear at the city's crown court in April.
