Comedian Tim Vine called for two railway employees to be given a pay rise for their prompt action in retrieving his left behind suit.
Mr Vine got off a train at Crewe Station, only to realise he had been derailed by leaving his suit bag on board.
Two members of staff 鈥 Karl and Anthony 鈥 worked out his train would make a return stop on its way back from Manchester and he could then be reunited with his suit.
鈥淲hen the train returned I jumped on, grabbed my suit and jumped off again,鈥 he posted on X on Thursday.
A spokesperson for Avanti West Coast said they were pleased they were able to reunite Mr Vine with his suit.
鈥淚t鈥檚 always great when our staff can successfully track down items lost onboard our trains and when Tim asked for help it was tailor-made for them to save the day,鈥 they quipped.
鈥淲e look forward to seeing him in his suit sometime soon!鈥
